Spring Break Poetry
I chose to read and write about the poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Dylan Thomas. I think that the best prompt for this poem is the prompt that says, "Write a well organized essay in which you analyze how the formal elements of the poem contribute to its meaning." I think that this is the best prompt for this poem because the way that the formal elements are used by the author really contribute to the meaning of the work. The element that stands out the most to me in this poem is the repetition which definitely adds a lot of meaning to this piece of poetry.
